Carrie Battista
Biography
Carrie Battista received her BFA in Glass from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2006. In addition to her work with glass, Carrie has studied various media including blacksmithing, printmaking and enameling. She has worked as both instructor and artist’s assistant in numerous professional glass studios and was a 2006 Niche Award finalist in Sculptural Glass. Carrie has received scholarships to both The Corning Museum of Glass and Penland School of Crafts, and completed a two year artist in residence at the Worcester Center for Crafts in Massachusetts. Currently, she is completing a six month residency and is an instructor at Nuesole Glassworks in Cincinnati, Ohio.
